This is another recipe roundup post in which you will find out how to make several different and nutritious muffins!

I find muffins to be the perfect snack that can easily be prepared beforehand in large batches and even frozen for later. We all have those days when we simply don’t have any time to cook and it’s perfectly ok to admit that. In preparation for those days, I try to always have a batch of healthy mini foods on hand. In my case, it’s usually either homemade protein bars or muffins.

Muffins are more versatile and they can be literally made to suit anyone’s nutritional needs. If you need something to munch on the way home from the gym, get something with high protein content, like the egg muffins or the banana muffins with yogurt. If you need something that can be easily eaten for breakfast because you never have time in the morning, go with something full of whole grains, like the whole wheat muffins. And if you simply want to have something healthy to snack on to curb your sugar cravings, fruit muffins are your best friend. Muffins are also perfect to put in your child’s lunch box. There’s something for everyone here!

Most of the recipes here are gluten-free so even people with celiac disease will be able to find something tasty for them. Those recipes are marked with GF in the brackets.

I divided all the recipes into different categories so that it’s easier to find what you need. I recommend baking two batches of two different muffins from different categories so you can mix them as you see fit. Remember that if you want to substitute a balanced meal with those muffins, you need to make sure that they contain all the macronutrients you need. The perfect solution is to combine an egg muffin with a whole grain muffin and eat one serving of fruit on the side (it can be just a banana if you are on the go). You might not eat everything at once so freeze the muffins separately and then just thaw however many you need in the fridge the day before.
